NIKKOL GROUP is striving to create and maintain a supply chain that is free from deforestation, respects human rights and supports local communities.
We continue to work closely with our stakeholders to implement our sustainability commitments and comply with general regulations / laws related to the protection of forests, peatlands, human and community rights. As a downstream consumer of palm oil derivatives and derivatives of other natural feedstocks, NIKKOL GROUP is committed to monitoring the direct and indirect suppliers regarding the implementation of NDPE principles across the whole supply chain.
SUMMARY
Against Deforestation
- No development on High Carbon Stock (HCS) Forests or High Conservation Value (HCV) Areas.
- We are against of burning.
- Progressively reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
Against New Development on Peat
- No new development on peatland.
- Best Management Practices for existing plantations on peat.
Against Exploitation of People and Local Communities
- Respect and support internationally recognized human rights.
- Respect and recognize the rights of all employees, irrespective of age, gender and religious views.
- Respect and protect the rights of children.
- Support the inclusion of smallholders into the supply chain.
- Respect land ownership rights.
- Respect the rights of indigenous people and local communities.
