We supply safe and reliable products and services to our stakeholders.

RSPO Certification

The RSPO is an international non-profit organization founded by seven organizations to promote the sustainable industrialization of palm oil.
The NIKKOL GROUP aims to maintain a sustainable supply system and conserve biodiversity. As part of this approach, Nippon Surfactant Industries and Nikko Chemicals (Singapore) have acquired RSPO Supply Chain Certification to manufacture RSPO Mass Balance (MB) products.
Furthermore, in June 2022, our RSPO members collectively achieved 97.76% of MB certified palm derivatives in their purchased raw materials and products.

The History of NIKKOL GROUP’s RSPO Certification

FDA Certification

“FDA” is an abbreviation that refers to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
FDA certification in accordance with the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act is essential for the export and sale of food additives and cosmetic ingredients to the United States. Nippon Surfactant Industries’ Utsunomiya Factory has obtained FDA certification for Decaglyn1-L, a food additive.

Halal Certification

Halal certification assures Muslims that products are permitted (“Halal”) and not forbidden (“Haram”). It guarantees that everything including the manufacturing environment, quality, and processes meet standards in accordance with Islamic law. Nippon Surfactant Industries’ Nasu Factory, as well as some production lines of their Utsunomiya Factory, and products of Nikko Chemicals (Singapore) have already received Halal certification from a third-party auditing body.

ISO 9001 (Quality Management System)

ISO 9001 is the international standard for a quality management system.
It is the most widespread QMS system standard, with more than 1 million organizations in more than 170 countries worldwide having obtained certification.
Nippon Surfactant Industries and Bergerac Japon, both certified companies, are promoting continuous improvement of their products and services based on the quality policy defined in ISO 9001.

This certification reinforces hygiene control items not covered by ISO 9001 and enables quality control specifically for the production of cosmetic ingredients.
In December of the same year, the company passed the maintenance audits for EFfCI GMP and ISO 9001: 2008.

Tochigi HACCP

Tochigi HACCP of Tochigi Prefecture in Japan is a system that certifies facilities that have adopted and can continuously perform in accordance with HACCP, an international standard for hygiene management.
In August 2020, Nippon Surfactant Industries’ Utsunomiya Factory acquired Tochigi HACCP certification, and this enables us to take appropriate management and countermeasures in all processes from receiving raw materials to final products.
